Anyone have manual for DiAcro #4 finger brake?

No luck, the gentleman only had the newer brake manual which is readily available. I have stripped it down, lubed it and reassembled, but there are definitely a couple of bolts whose function is not clear, and a couple of holes left unfilled. Part missing? adjustments? The setback adjustment...

Anyone have manual for DiAcro #4 finger brake?

Thanks for trying. Picked up the Brake this morning. Very pleased with it. A good selection of fingers and appears to be in great shape for a 65+ year old machine. Now I can get rid of my Chicom brake. I would surely love to get hold of a parts diagram for the Di-Acro though. I did send the...

Anyone have manual for DiAcro #4 finger brake?

Looking for a manual -user or parts diagram for a DiAcro #4 finger brake. Not the current #24 model but the older #4. I am guessing it was replaced by the #24 in the early 60s? I'd be curious to know if anyone knows when the #4 to #24 change took place also? No luck on vintgemachiner.org or...

    Another "vise grip" identification please.

Thanks again! So now I know where all of my offbeat vise grips come from. Not too many questions defeat this group.

    Another "vise grip" identification please.

Thanks for the circle-I Parker identification. Now how about this pair. It is made in Germany, along with the pictures below it has "chrom-vanadium" and "warranted" cast into it. It is called a "Universal-grip"

Who made Craftsman 45341 and 45342 "vise grips"

Reorganizing some of my vise grips. I have 4 or 5 older Craftsman locking pliers, "made in usa" and 45341 and 45342 marked on them. I do like them, especially the release lever which goes opposite to the Petersen vise grips. Who made these?

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Smitty, That is CRAZY! You have been busy this last couple of years building the worlds best baby bullet collection. Guess I'll have to make do with the one I have since you've bought the rest!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I have a floatlock on my WW shop drill press (a converted Shopsmith) and a larger version on my garage drill press. Great DP vises! I got the original box with my mity-7, but not the table clamp (had to weld one up)

Spiffy new jaws for my C3 thanks to Autopts (Nick). I guess one day I should do a refurb on it, too much other stuff in line for now though.

let's see your craftsman block grinders

Is it a worthwhile "upgrade" to pick up a tool rest and quench tray setup often fitted to the 1HP unit for fitment to a 1/2 or 3/4hp? If so, what would be fair to pay?

    IR 317 vs 317A

Anyone know the difference in the IR 317A vs the superseded 317? The body is squarer, made in Taiwan, vs the 317 which was made in Japan but other than that? Air consumption on the 317A is 12cfm, that's about all I know.

    Show us your arbor press!

Just realized yours is a compound ratcheting press. Ooooohhhh, I'm feeling jealous.

    Show us your arbor press!

I upgraded my Dake 3 ton arbor press to a Dake 3 ton ratcheting arbor press. Got it for a good price, it had no rotating plate, or pawl. I found a drawing of the pawl online so made one up and case hardened it. Works fine. I haven't - and won't - paint it, as it is a user tool. The eagle eyed...
