I've come up with a couple lighting scenarios for my 50 x 20 x 16h RV garage.
My question is, where do foot-candles end and blindness begin?
One scenario comes to about 100 fc.
The other comes to about 140 fc.
Both will be on dimmers and separate switches (40/60 front/rear).
I'm concerned...
Thanks CD.
This is actually where I'm lost.
How many FC's do I want? I'm no professional, but my aging eyes need all the help they can get! Also, I'd like to avoid too much shadowing.
Thanks Dude.
There is a ton of info!
I like the look of the high bay fixtures, and the apparent need for fewer of them.
I plan on having half the space used for a double lift with 2 cars side-by-side and the rest an RV. I was thinking of 3 rows of lights with separate controls for the 2...
I like beer!
I went through the thread. Incredible amount of info!
Based on your results, do you think 3 rows of 165's would work (50 x 20 x 16h)? How close to the walls is most effective? Or maybe 165's down the middle and 110's along the walls?
3 lamps or 4 per row?
Okay, I admit I'm a bit lost and am running out of time.
Just poured the slab for a 20' x 50' x 16'H garage and need to tell the electrician what lighting to wire for.
I want it bright for detail work, but dimmable for retina retention!
I like the look of the high bay LEDs. Money in NOT much...
Hello everyone!
Took 57 years but I'm finally getting my big boy garage! It'll be 20' x 50' x 16'H and I have no idea how to light it! I like to detail show cars and need to see what I'm doing. I'll have a movable 4 post lift to help with the bending over.
Any ideas/directions to look would...
