    Missing tool...hope I'm not alone!

Re: Missing tool...hope I'm not alone![emoji38] I put my tools away immediately at the completion of a job at work. At home, i may leave the tools I'm using for a project in a homer bucket in the workshop so I can pick it back up the next day. Even still, I need to put them back at the end of a...

Quality tools are worth the money.

I'm not a mechanic, so my meager socket sets and wrenches are a mix of gearwrench, husky, craftsman and Allen brands. I don't trust myself to even work on my own truck, so they really get minimal use at home besides messing around with this or that. As an electrician, I keep only the size...

The Klein Tool addiction thread! :)

couldn't help myself, had to get what i have at work laid out too. i mostly use knipex and wera/wiha for pliers and drivers professionally, but they're all tried and true and work just as well. cobra pliers turned me into a full convert a few years ago and i don't see myself ever really going...

    Vintage tape measures

these are good theories. if i would end up on a job site getting my tools filthy, i would take the time to quickly clean and oil everything before packing up for the day, or at least at the end of the week. i never even considered cleaning a tape measure outside of caked on mud, dirt or grease...

klein koats really make these tools feel good. i actually remembered i had a new set of 6" koats while pulling these out of the box, so i cleaned up and put them on the 6" needle nose in the pic! i have the same grips on an old pair of vbe pump pliers that i use for seemingly every project...

    Vintage tape measures

it's funny that these all still exist and can be found quite readily. i wonder if the previous owners were tradesman or just basement tinkerers, as i couldn't seem to have a modern tape measure last 6 months in construction. now that i'm in a plant instead of a road dog, i take a lot better care...

    Bell system

i've worked at a few old bell labs sites in NJ and have family and know plenty of people that worked and retired there. the buildings are as beautiful and intricate as many of these old tools. i have a few needle/duck bill pliers i've found over the years. love all of this stuff!

The Klein Tool addiction thread! :)

i know this thread is a little old, but here's most of mine. i have 5 klein/vaco screw starters, journeyman crimpers, journeyman lineman pliers, 3 kinds of strippers, another scissors, handful of screwdrivers and probably some other stuff at work in my tool cart. also have a 24" canvas bag and...

    Hello from PA

Been ending up on this forum for a long time during my online tool searches, so figured I would finally join up! I live in PA and work as an electrician at a plant. I love old electrical hand tools and find myself owning way too many pairs of lineman's and side cutters that I find at flea...
