When i look at those, i get the impression they would eliminate the use of the current straight top track my upper section of the door currently rides in, and would now ride on the track with the rest of the rollers, but would it seal tightly against the door? Maybe would just need some spring...
Re: Possibly need new exterior siding, do they even make these "tiles" anymore?
Even vinyl siding wasn't as cheap I thought it was. Need to watch a few videos on the parts needed to get started
I really appreciate the info guys, I'm sorry if my setup is confusing or abnormal, I am in the finishing stages of the interior though, walls are hung and about to be painted, then shelves, then I'd like to store my car for winter, don't want snow blowing all in here on my baby when I'm at...
I was not planning on replacing the openers, I personally like manual and there is just no headroom in this garage as it is
No those brackets are not on my door currently
Re: Possibly need new exterior siding, do they even make these "tiles" anymore?
Nothing at either of my local places. I will likely remove them, just need a low cost DIY replacement for them
Yes the dorr is sealed against the ground when this is happening
when you guys says top roller bracket, which side (front or back) are you refering to? I guess I should find a diagram to identify which part that is exactly. This is my first garage ever, let alone one with a problem, so Im a...
That wouldn't help much when I want to leave the garage though lol,
I'm up for rigging something up to put pressure on the top panel, I can weld and make brackets etc, I just can't wrap my head around an idea to put a little pressure on it but still have the door function
The top panel doesn't want to swing shut and seal against the front seal though, even if I gave it a push from the inside, I didn't think the spring was even doing anything where it is mounted
Curious what my options are when it comes to the exterior of this garage, it has these old tiles for an exterior, they almost feel ceramic, definitely not wood, but they are in fair condition, and there are 2 holes where these pipes where that i disconnected, and a few pieces missing on various...
hey guys. Im in the process of renovating my garage, I gutted it nearly, lots of new studs, insulation, vapour barrier, reinforced center beam in currently curing a few days and am in the process of putting up the walls to beat the winter cold.
I also removed the garage door openors, as both...
Cant say i exactly understand that water level after watching that video but I appreciate the link. I just dont get the premise, I would have to suspend the bucks at the roof line somewhere and somehow set a starting point??
Ive seen the strong tie hangers at home depot, as for toe nailing on...
Rained all day, I got the walls cleared of old nails and screws though, also ripped the few PT 2x6's I bought to 4" to match the old true lumber to use for the studs in the wall that need repairing
