    sae vs. metric

The majority of my tools are are metric. I do have a full set of SAE, but most of my work is on import vehicles. I personally prefer metric, as it seems like there are certain sizes of metric that are mainly used (more than come in a normal set) 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 25... You...

I have the M18 Drill + Impact setup, it's been one of my favorite recent purchases. Really good stuff. I'm not sure if anyone has posted it in this thread, but on the M18 impacts, you can swap the anvil between 1/4" hex, 3/8 drive", and 1/2" drive. 1/2" Square Drive Anvil Assembly...

If folks didn't see it earlier, I did figure out the issue. It was caused by an under-sized circuit. I assume that this saw draws right at 15 amps. If I can get the info plate cleaned up, I'll post the details.

Hmm, good point. I'll check. I tried to check the motor data plate, but it got a bunch of overspray on it at one point in time.

I grabbed this set: KNIPEX 00 20 04 SB 8-Piece Precision Circlip Snap-Ring Pliers Set http://amzn.com/B005EXNT38 I detest the interchangable-tip pliers, as I lose the spare tips almost immediately. The tips on the Knipex Pros are angled so that the snap ring won't launch off into never-never...

Table saw pops breaker when spinning-up

Howdy folks. I purchased a Rockwell Model 10 Contractor's saw for a bargain at a road-side flea market-type sale. Other than being a bit crusty, everything is there. It's a belt-drive 120v unit. When I start the motor with the belt disconnected, everything works fine. When I have the belt...
