May be the Lexivon 3/8 torque wrench on Amazon for $55? I remember watching a Youtube clip about torque wrench comparison, probably by Project Farm. The Lexivon that was tested maintained the claimed accuracy after repeated torqueing actions while some of the others in the same price range lost...

Home Depot has the Milwaukee 3/8" ratchet (regular, brushed) for sale. With 51% off it's priced at $78. I actually prefer this over the Fuel version (brushed) due to its relatively lighter weight and smaller profile...

In the ratchet drawer of your tool box, you will notice a weird-shaped foam cutout slot for a double-flex, roto-head, extra-long, t-handle, 3/8" ratchet. To avoid leaving this slot empty, you need exactly this ratchet. Joke aside, I suppose that this would be handy for 1) doing the lower spark...

And here is follow up: a luke warm deal from my local HD again: Ridgid 1/2 subcompact impact wrench for $75. I think during the free battery + charger promotion periods, the tool itself is roughly this price. The compact size is probably handy for taking down caliper bolts on a sedan.

My local HomeDepot is clearing out some Milwaukee and Dewalt tools. Since this is the time of year that HD updates inventory, your local store might be doing so too. There are some SAE ratcheting wrench sets - unfortunately I don’t have that 1968 Chevelle or Beaumont that I always wanted to...

Home Depot is clearing out the Husky 12V 3/8 cordless ratchet. The sale price is $50. The down side is that it has a built-in battery so the cost to replace the battery can be prohibitive. But it beats the no name cordless ratchets at this price point. In the Montreal area, the St-Henri store...

A strong reason that you "need" a gearless palm driver is precisely what you said, that you "don't have" one . Feel free to show this reply to your wife to justify the purchase. Joke aside, I like how you can insert a 1/4 bit and convert it into a palm screwdriver. Makes me to feel that I spent...

Some Canadian Tire stores start to clear out the full polished and chrome wrench set (Metric 058-8546, SAE 058-8547) for $24.93-44.93. The metric set skips 9mm (occasional for bicycles), 16mm (5/8" from the SAE set), 20mm (useless anyway) and 21mm (13/16" from the SAE set), but includes 22mm and...

Here is a lukewarm deal. My local Princess Auto has a set of Crescent branded USA-made 6 piece screwdrivers for $30. My phone died so I didn't manage to record the catalogue number. But it's exactly this set shown in the pictures. Based on websites that list the set for $18-24 USD, the model...

    Must have Snap On items?

I find the dead blow ball-peen hammers with metal faces from Trusty Cook of great value. In terms of soft face polyurethane dead blow hammers, my personal opinion is that they are almost like consumables. I pick them up for a few bucks each and throw away when they get messed up or crack.

    Must have Snap On items?

I'm a pro-am level automotive mechanic, have access to the truck, but do not buy enough to maintain a "relationship" with the driver. Personally nothing is a "must-have" from the truck, but speaking from a automotive and personal point of view: The "preferred" list - hard lines made by Snap on...

Here is another surplus deal from Princess Auto: 3 pc Metric Socket Holders for $14.99 https://www.princessauto.com/en/3-pc-metric-socket-holders/product/PA0009133398 The 1/2" holder may not be that useful to many diyers - most people have 1/2" impact sockets rather than chrome sockets; and...

Most but maybe not all Canadian Tire has the 18-piece 0 degree offset non-reversible ratcheting wrench set on clearance at $49.93. I prefer reversible ratcheting wrenches since with a non-reversible ratcheting wrench there are awkward cases that you could back the fastener against an obstacle...

I hope Canadian Tire will carry Knipex the same way they do with Channellock - stable stock levels and occasional discounts. Coupled to store balance rebates, often the prices are better than those in the US. On a separate note, the lines and products that get dropped are often Stanley Black...

Canadian Tire puts 10" Knipex Alligator pliers on clearance for $29.93. A few stores in the Greater Montreal area have it in stock. If I were not to have too many Channellock pliers, I'd pull the trigger...
