    repaired the thread (heli coil) on the mirror perch on a 33 year old italian moto. The perch is integrated into the hand brake/master cynlinder, so replacement wasn't an option. Didn't think to take photos.

    There are those that'll tell you 'farmerizing' won the war. I was told by a WWII vet many years back, 'they' didn't have time to train mechanics, so they made a conscious effort to direct midwest farm boys into the Ordnance Corps because they could make any machine operable in a hurry.
