moving a 4 post lift to a new home

^^ This is what I did too, only I used a flatbed truck. We took off the 2 runways, strapped it all down, then re-attached the runways at my place. Worked great

    Tankless Water Heater Reviews

I have a Rinnai tankless (nat. gas), and I love it. As has been mentioned, there is a small lag when you first call for hot water, but not very much. As my installer told me when he put it in, since we now have "unlimited" hot water, don't expect to save any money if you change your water use...

New home in Keswick - GJ advice request

Reliance Home Comfort rents tankless units. I just switched from a NG tank unit to a NG tankless - the Rinnai R75 LSi. Loving it. You never run out of hot water - which will likely be a bonus with your family. www.reliancehomecomfort.com

    Insurance help???

Talk to your agent. My biggest concern is that you are underinsured on the garage - if your agent is aware of that, they should have be encouraging you to get the value up (not down). I wouldn't be so worried about whether it's a business policy or not, but again just confirm with your agent...

My first garage...is 24X22 big enough for 2 cars + tools?

My garage has the same dimensions. I was originally going to go 24x24, but a screw-up with the building controls department required a truly last minute adjustment to the depth. If you have a large suv or full-size pickup (or ever think you will have one), I would strongly recommend building a...

Technique for Moving 4 Post Lift?

I bought a used 4 post this fall and ended up moving it with a flatbed truck. I just disconnected the 4 cables from the posts, removed the two ramps, then tied it all down. Left the motor and oil resevoir attached. Worked great! I would have gone with a car hauler and left it all together...

    Liftmaster 3800 transmitter issues?

Viz - the antenna is straight. I have 2 of the wireless interior lights installed, and both work when the doors open. I'm almost positive it's a reception issue, but just for the heck of it I'm going to replace the batteries in all the remotes and the wireless keypad so that I can say with...

    Liftmaster 3800 transmitter issues?

Yeah, that's the plan for tomorrow morning. Just want to double check the antenna first. Thanks again!

    Liftmaster 3800 transmitter issues?

John, yes the antenna wire is there and appears undamaged, but I am going to get up on the ladder again tonight to confirm nothing has changed. And yes, I have tried using all the remotes on the problem door - same issue no matter what remote I use, which again makes me think the problem is...

    Liftmaster 3800 transmitter issues?

Hi all - looking for some input. I have 2 3800 openers. I have hardwired switches for each door, plus a keyless entry pad (and remotes in each vehicle of course) - all of which are Liftmaster products. For a while now, one of the two openers refuses to accept the code that has been programmed...

    Chevrolet garage! DIY workshop build

Woody - as usual you are wasting no time modifying your stuff! :) Can't wait to see the finished garage, given the amount of detail you put into your vehicles. Good to see you made the trek over from Nastyz28.com. Kirk

Feedback on Reznor/Hot Dawg/Mr Heater Big Maxx Heaters

I'm guessing the whole ceiling mount thing is due to safety issues. Less chance of driving into the heater/bumping into it/rupturing the gas line if it is off the floor.

    The Mysterious Missing MaxJax Instructions

I just pm'd Jeff @ Bend Pak (username JSK). I'm sure he'll chime in, or get one of the other folks to clear things up.

    transporting 4 post lift

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! Looks like my plan to have a 4 post lift is going to happen sooner than originally expected. I should soon have a 2 year old Direct Lift Pro Park 8 Plus in the garage. I can hardly wait. :bounce: Looks like I'll have to dissassemble the lift, but...

    transporting 4 post lift

Good point! From what I can tell it looks like it will be really close The lift is a hair over 103" wide at the widest point of the frame, and it looks like the bed of the truck is 102". So the footprint of the lift should fit on bed, but I'd have to confirm the measurements.
