I filled the pitted areas with Epoxy Master's epoxy patch kits. Then I smoothed the trowel marks off with an air powered sanding disk. Then I put down EpoxyMaster epoxy coating and flakes. I didn't use any clear coat over the epoxy. That's a brief description of what I had above.

I'm about to do the same thing as you. Unfortunately, my floor looks much worse than yours. I'm going to smooth and patch my floor with EpoxyMaster's Crack Patch kit (4 kits actually) before I lay down the Epoxy.
