    Not to worried about the code due to where I live and considering I will be doing this all my self and why would I? If there's an interlock on both panels and to turn on the the generator circuit. Both panel interlocks would kill both mains.

    Yes there would be a interlock on both panels, I forgot to add that on the post. Why does the 30 amp A/C complicate things?

    It was cheaper to have the 2nd meter installed on my barn because the house has 100 amp overhead service. I had 2 options, #1- dig a trench from the pole in my back yard to my barn, install a 2nd meter with 200 amp underground service or #2- Dig 2 trench's one from the pole to my house and then...

    Even if its just for generator back feeding? That would be the only time when its used.

    Yes, it will only be used for a generator feed. So the generator can stay in the barn during a power outage, Turn off both main breakers (feed from the the pole), Turn on both 50amp breakers (house and barn), And then the generator will power up both panels.

    I'm looking to finish up all my electrical projects and am looking for some guidance / opinions on completing my plan. Objectives #1-Run a generator back feed line from barn to my house on its own circuit. (Keep gene. dry, quieter, both buildings powered, and less work when power goes out)...
