What tool is this? This was in a Sioux valve grind set But I can't see how it was used. Guide or seat concentricity measurement?

I don't know what this is or how it could be used but it was in a Sioux valve seat grinding set.

I bead blasted the jack parts, used paint remover & DA on the workstation. Here are some pix of my shop area.

The restored mechanic's workstation is an Alemite from an old Pontiac dealership.

Thanks for the replies. The lack of wear on shafts leads me to believe this jack was not heavily used. I am going to rebuild it in any case because of the nostalgia associated with it. If I can't come up with the history of the color I don't know what I will do with the color. I may just try to...
