    I would say get the lift early on Sat morning and go to town working from the top down. Sprayer can work but will make a mess if not done right. Just get a brush and mini roller setup.

    rafter seat cut question

    the extra 2" will be on the bottom of the rafter. if you were to trace the 2x4 on the 2x6 the top would be flush making the birdsmouth longer and the plumb cut will hang down further

    Check with local building code. Here in RI it is R21 in the walls and R38 in the ceilling. This doesn't apply to a garage but I like mine nice and warm. Blown in would be a better choice for the ceilling, hang the sheetrock and then get up there and let it rip. Walls I would try to get R15...
