Can you send me a closer picture of how the steel was mounted through the wood pieces coming off the wall and the ceiling steel? I am trying to get an idea on how to cut out my ceiling steel.

They are building it this month. But this is what it would look like.

My barn is scheduled to start any day now. 32x48x14 in mid-michigan. I am torn between a traditional barn security light on the gable end or should I do a more modern look with sofit can lights instead? This would be over my 12x10 door. Pictures and opinions are very helpful.

Great information. Thank you. Mine will be mostly storage and some small projects, nothing too crazy. But I do like to have enough light, I can't stand when it is dark when I am trying to work on something.

Would you do metal ceiling, blue board, then the batts all under the truss then?

Sorry I thought of one more question. Did you insulate the ceiling? If yes, how did you do it? I have been searching for insulating scissor trusses and not seeing a lot.
