    Rust-oleum EpoxyShield Professional + Clear

I’ve done the pro version with topcoat twice. Unfortunately we’ve moved from both houses. The first house we were there 5+ years with no issues. I had to go there and get a package the other day and the floor still looked good. Probably 8+ years on that floor. With any project the prep is key. I...

    New House with Attached Garage

I drive a full size F150 and 24 deep is enough to walk around it yet. Just a thought but you could drop off 4 feet across the front, add it to the side and go for 3 garage doors. We built last year and went extra wide, but I'm regretting not having a 4th door. You will accumulate to the size you...

Tons of research done, best epoxy option for my garage?

X2 Prep is always the key. I used the solvent based and it helped up for 6 yeas and then we moved.

Big Maxx Heater Install with drywall anchors

Just throwing this out there as a general question and hope I don't get ripped apart for it. In the past I have gone up in the attic and to mount a heater to my garage ceiling. Today I was thinking why not just use those screw in drywall anchors. I bought some the other day for another project...

Rustoleum or Sherwin Williams- garage epoxy

I've used the rust oleum pro in our last house. Held up great for 5+ years then we moved. I used the clear coat over the top. I'll use the same product in our new house. Some will say it's not worth it and to spend more $$ but with any project floor prep is the key. acid etch, power wash, etc.

For those with a Nest thermostat...

If you go back to regular schedules which is what I'll end up doing, what am I gaining out of the nest besides being able to check from my phone and some reports?

For those with a Nest thermostat...

I am tempted to just go back to a programmable one. Atleast you know the temp will be xyz at said time on said day.

For those with a Nest thermostat...

Before I give up on this new nest thing, I wanted to post the issue to see if were doing something wrong or it's just a very sensitive device. It's still learning as we've just moved in a few weeks ago. We use both our phones to help with the auto home/away features. The issue is cooling. For...

Filling Expansion and Contraction Joints before Epoxy Coat

I went the rust oleum professional route 6 years ago and my floor is holding up fine. I just acid washed first, powered washed a few times, then went ahead to coat. I also used their clear coat sealer which probably helped too. We live in WI so it's harder on the floors as well. The type...

    Security Cameras

I picked up a reolink rlk8-410 system on eBay for 386. Going to install it in the next month or so. No one was bidding on the auction listing. The cameras are metal and appear to be well built.

Prewiring Network and Cable - Worth the Cost or DIY?

For those who prewire for outdoor Poe cameras through the attic do you run cables and just leave a loop on the end until you are ready to install? Then punch through the soffit later?

    HellFire Concrete Coating, Easy, Tough!

3 coats are the recommendation? This doesn’t give a big cost advantage over the competitors then.

looks good. How much more was it to have cathedral ceilings in the garage?

    Largest Attached Garage

You have to start some where. Not to scare anyone off, but each time you learn from the previous experience. What works, what doesn't etc. On your various walk throughs, where to put outlets, switches, network, cable, run smurf tube, what is cheaper to upgrade now, like garage floor drains...
