40x64 SIPs and ICF build in WY revisited

Alright everyone here are a few more pictures. Inside all cleaned up for a baby shower we had last year. I trimmed out the windows and doors with 1x4 and 1x6 knotty pine. The bottom 4' is corrugated roofing, the trim on top of the metal is 2x2 pine with a quarter of it notched out so I can run...

Thank you. Yeah the wind can be something along with the long winters in this valley. I like it though because it keeps the weak people out. I'm close to Jackson Hole, nice place and good people but it's become very liberal, the cold here keeps them out, I'm good with that.

I think I have an image of what you built. Any chance you can send a picture? Thanks much

Thank you all for the compliments. Just like most of you I have to give credit to the countless threads and builds that came before mine. If there's one thing I can harp on it's don't be afraid to take on the build yourself. Building my shop was just as much fun as building stuff inside it.

Next round of pictures Shot of the room inside before all the tools and other stuff that ends up in a shop...end up in a shop. You can see how the floor turned out, this is also the first color I had on the walls and the beginning of the light install. All lights are 4 bulb T5 from home depot...

Thanks! Yes, the SIPs eliminate a lot of trips up and down the ladder!! We stick built out house so I was able to compare. They aren't to expensive either, the panels were around $12k plus $3500 for a **** load of 2x6x18.

I didn't realize the other pictures were attached... About the floor; after many truck loads of sand we built up the floor up to the desired level. I ordered the rigid insulation for the floor from the SIPs manufacture and saved a lot of money, keep that in mind if you have SIPs manufacture in...

40x64 SIPs and ICF build in WY revisited

Cool sunset shot (the wind river range to the east) with the roof framing pretty much complete. The two openings behind the stacks of foam board are for a future lean-too addition for dedicated wood and metal shops. I figured I'm better off designing that into the SIPs even if I don't do the...

40x64 SIPs and ICF build in WY revisited

Hi all, To get everyone on the same page. I originally started a thread back in 2015 as Backintheday. To be honest I put this forum on the bottom of my list and did not keep up. I had to go through the administrator to get a new password and username. So to make things right I thought I would...
