that's an interesting idea. I rented a small tractor\excavator when building my shed up behind the house (on top of that hill that you see), it was fun but I imagined if I owned one then I would have holes all over cause it was rather fun to operate.

Thanks, Keith. This is the type of stuff that I'm looking for... i.e. trying to determine if building something to fit our needs is worth it versus buying a different house. I feel like $100k is the threshold.

I had bad strobing on some fan lights in my house. I ended up swapping the light fixture part of the fan with one that puts the light bulbs pointing downward as opposed to near horizontal, they strobe a small amount now and it is much easier to deal with.

I had a brief raccoon problem last night. dang thing tore into my garbage and was kind enough to wait for me to load the .22. Seemed fitting to toss him into the same garbage :)

Looked at a very large garage today. What kind of roof is this? Anything to look for as far as issues with it? The outside is a flat rubber roof which I assume is directly above this stuff here in the pics.

How much of this install did you do? Was the final pressure test done by a HVAC professional?

Sounds similar to what I'm doing. I went with a 12x16 gambrel shed. I put a 4' "porch" on it and extended the loft area over it, so I have a 20' long loft (12' wide). Building Inspector said the "porch" was fine but I'm not sure he realized the loft would extend. He inspected the floor...
