There is a huge difference between M12 and M18 if you're talking about the regular brushed versions. Regular M12 is pretty weak IMO and I use these tools professionally daily. M18 works very nice but they get pretty damn heavy after repetitive use, especially with the bigger 3.0-4.0 batteries...

In my experience the pipe tends to squish a bit when your cutting if the blade is a little bit dull. This makes the pipe more of an oval shape, it's a real PITA trying to glue an oval pipe into a round hub.
Checked out my local pawn shop today and they had this Hilti SFC 18-A listed for 175. I took it home for 130 no tax, 1 3.3 AH battery and charger. It is in very nice condition looks barely used.

Was thinking mainly between Ridgid and Lenox, but are there any other brands I should be considering? I've seen lots of the Euro style pipe wrenches, but I would like to see some pics of them actually being used or hear some reviews.
unions allow you to take apart your line of pipe without having to unscrew everything from the start/end of the run of pipe if you have a huge run of pipe it could take hours to take apart vs. just unscrewing your union.
