Rustoleum Professional - Last Minute Change of Plans

In an interesting turn of events , UPS apparently damaged my package so it didn't even make it. So, I ended up grinding down the garage today. It took most of the day, including sweeping out the dust , hosing it down thoroughly , and squeegeeing the floor, but it looks good and I think the epoxy...

Rustoleum Professional - Last Minute Change of Plans

Guys, I may be in a predicament. I close on a new house tomorrow with obviously brand new garage floors. I decided to use the Rustoleum Professional product, so I pre-ordered and it's here waiting to go. I requested my builder NOT to seal the concrete floor. But, in doing the walkthrough, it...

    Tall Garage Cabinet

I've got this one and I generally like it. E actual cabinet and shelves are extremely solid, but the doors are a little flimsy. If you're not in and out of it a lot that shouldn't be a big deal...

    Rain Barrel Systems?

Definitely would not wash the car from a rain barrell system. If it's flowing off the roof it will pick up all kinds of small asphalt debris (among other things) that you don't want rubbed into you paint. Not to mention the fact that rainwater is too acidic anyway. I think the idea is great for...

Storage of garage stuff while applying floor coating

Right now I'm leaning towards the U-Haul option. I'll be doing this on my own and the idea of having a ramp to push everything up on is good. I thought about doing it in sections, but I think it would be difficult because once epoxy is mixed, it's only good for a certain period of time...

Storage of garage stuff while applying floor coating

Any creative ideas as to what to do with all the stuff in my garage when I put down epoxy? I don't have room in the shed. The wife may kill me if I move all my greasy toolboxes and tables in the house. So far I've come up with (1) Trailer to another garage (PITA), (2) Rent a U-haul for a few...

The worlds longest tool.... err.. yard sale

I really should stop one day for this, considering I live on US127 in KY! Sunday night I decided my old diesel and I should bond for a few miles. I probably passed 100+ sellers in two counties, and didn't stop for any of them.

Harbor Freight R134A Refrigerant Gauge - Opinions?

Thanks for the detailed response. The air still gets slightly cooler on the vents than ambient, but not by much. I felt the inlet tube and it was ice cold, but the outlet hose was ambient temperature. Based on my limited knowledge, that just means I need a recharge, right? I don't think this...

Harbor Freight R134A Refrigerant Gauge - Opinions?

Anybody used this? http://www.harborfreight.com/r-134a-refrigerant-gauge-95808.html My A/C in my 98 Ram needs recharging. I've never done this before, so I bought one of those all in one kits from Wal-Mart. But I'm hearing now the gauges on those kits are VERY poor, so I'm thinking of getting a...

    Car Wash/Wax Suggestions

I have to disagree with you here - it's a LOT different. Wash mitts and (to a certain degree) spones are made to capture dirt and debris. Silicone is not, which is why the risk of marring/scratching is so much higher with a water blade.

    Car Wash/Wax Suggestions

Some good advice here. I'll weigh in on what has kept my paint largely swirl free and looking like new over the past 200k: (1) Avoid car washes unless it's winter time and you're trying to get salt and other grime off. Then go to the touch free washes. (2) When you wash your car, use the two...

    Concrete/Driveway Sealant

What does everyone use to periodically seal their concrete driveway? My pour cured a bit dark for some reason and almost looks wet even when it's dry. I used Cure & Seal 250 a couple of years ago after pressure washing and it darkened it up even more. I need to seal it again this summer but...

What projects is everyone doing this weekend?

Wax on, wax off for me. Tundra, Ram, and El Camino are overdue for the spring detailing. Ram needs probably two passes from the Porter Cable, El Camino will get one. The wife's RX was done months ago...:headshake
