    SK Club monthly notice

gmail flagged it as spam this month for me as well. I just wish they would use a smaller box. It seems so wasteful to use the box they use for a single socket.

    2017 Epstein's Day?

Just placed my order. My order # was 100011944. Ordered the Norseman set, plus some individual Norseman bits in common sizes used on my friends race car. Also got some Wilde odds and ends, including replacement stones for my old wheel cylinder hone. I also ordered the SK ratchet, I usually use...

What Tool Purchases Do You Regret The Most?

Easily my Snapon KRL773. I was planning on eventually getting a KRL1003, blue with chrome trim, but the Snapon guy made 20 year old me feel like I was getting such a great deal on the 773 that I went ahead and bought it. I still have the 773 16 years later and I hate the cranberry with gold...

Tools that you thought were a good idea at that time but really serve no purpose

My 3/8" speeder handle was one of my first tool purchases 20 years ago, and it has sat in my toolbox unused for the last 20 years. I will say though that I use my flex head ratchets like a speeder a lot of the time, either running a bolt down, or taking it out after I broke it loose.

Williams USA sockets; anyone order from this vendor

I've had two orders from toolsdelivered. Most of the tools in both orders were drop shipped direct from Williams' warehouse in Georgia anyways. One set I ordered was missing a socket and they promptly got the missing socket out with no hassle.

    SK tool boxes?

I'm not 100% positive, but those new boxes look a lot like the ones made by CTech Manufacturing.

    Snap-On online warranty

I talked to Snap On earlier today about a pair of side cutters and a pair of needlenose pliers. They are having me send the old ones back. I didn't have to send back a broken flex socket a few months back. I figured they might want pliers back since I could potentially sharpen and reuse or sell...

    Truck Brands - Market Share

When I was still working in a shop SnapOn dominated. The driver was a good guy that would work with you, and he really hustled too. The Mac guy was all but retired and made no effort to sell any tools. Whenever we hired a new tech that had a lot of Mac stuff they always had a hard time getting...

    Microcenter

There is a Microcenter on my way home from work, and yeah it's pretty awesome. It's also always jam packed with customers so obviously I'm not the only one that feels that way about them. I visited a Fry's store when I was in California a few years back and was impressed with them as well.

Tools made in your home town

I was born in Kenosha, WI so I certainly have some pride in every Snap-on tool I own. I grew up and still live now in the Denver area, so while we don't have any tool manufacturing here, Western Forge is only about an hour away. At my last job at a printing company we used to print some of the...

    SK Day 2015!

My order was supposed to arrive today, but the snowstorm that socked eastern Colorado yesterday closed down all the highways and delayed the truck carrying my order. So, hopefully I'll have it tomorrow.

SK X-Frame -VS- WrightGRIP -VS- Snap-on Flank Drive+

I want SK to succeed, and I have purchased a fair amount of their tools lately, but I just can't see myself ever buying these. Way too thick and clumsy looking for starters. I would like to see a Williams wrench in this test. It has an antislip design, similar to the Snapon, but without the...

    toolsdelivered.com??

I've placed two orders with toolsdelivered.com. I've ordered a torque wrench, a socket set, some open stock sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers. Everything except for the torque wrench drop shipped from Williams facility in Georgia. I don't mind the drop shipments, but it is annoying that they...

    SK Day 2015!

I forgot to put my shirt size down on my order or it would have shipped today. Considering I had 9 special order items, 3 of which I consider pretty obscure, SK seems to have improved a lot on their inventory from last year.

    2015 sema/aapex tool notes

I'm guessing SK is having those carts made by C-Tech manufacturing. One of the race teams I help with has had a Ctech box for about 12 years now, and it has held up well.
