To Tell the Truth - Show us Your Truth Tools

I have a complete 1/2" set. R6 ratchet, R8 speed brace, R10 extension bar, R11 sliding T bar and sockets from 7/16 through to 1-1/4 inch, all marked Truth and in what would have been a red painted box with what is left of the Truth decal on the inside of the lid. Will dig it out and take some...

    Show off your DOE's!

Just found a replacement 13-15 for my own set. Will come with a 17-19 and a 21-23. Perhaps missed by others because they were advertised as Geugeot not Peugeot. :) Just have to await their arrival now.

The last? Can you not still buy them? I know Gearwrench still offer them, dare say a Google search should show up a few more.

    Show off your DOE's!

I admit, finding replacements is not easy, but you want to try doing so when the entire country you are looking in has less than 5 million people...... not many of which own old oddball French spanners! I have a replacement 12-14 that has some identification marks ground in the shaft and over...

    Show off your DOE's!

Outlaw, they certainly made them in more sizes- I believe in every mm increment from 8 up to at least 32 mm, kind of like two sets, one with the even increments (ie: your 12-14) and another set of the odd increments, like 17-19 mm or 13-15 and so on. I have a fairly full set from 8-9mm up to...

    Spreading the Bonney affliction!

Is the "made in India" really that bad? Is it the fact manufacture was moved offshore that upsets everyone- or the fact the quality is not there? Are the tolerances and fit reasonable, or sloppy? I have no made in India Bonney tools, but do own a set of Gedore made in India ROE's and they are...

Show Us your Vintage New Britain Mustang Tools!

Just found this in a newly delivered online purchase of an old Sidchrome tool box that was filled with "stuff" other than the original Sidchrome gear. Toolbox also had a nice SK 3/8 ratchet. Not bad for little old New Zealand.

    British Tool Manufacturers

Not sure, these are the first ones I have seen- not that that means a lot! But it was not uncommon for a lot of similar items to be made by one maker and badged with various brands back in Britain- the fishing industry is a classic example- likes of J.W. Young & Sons making reels of a similar...
