    We buy several homes a year for investment or personal use. We try to always use the home inspector. He is 3x the price of the average home inspector but it's worth the piece of mind and finding something that is not up to code or undersized during negotiations.

    Also double check your widths. Drive through clearance is for the top vehicle on the lift to fit within the runways that raise. The width measurement should not include length with mirrors. Only track width.

    $1000 increase in assessed value should not really change your taxes. What's your millage rate 1 or 2%? Not really a big deal.

    Ensure that the lug that is starting to strip is the actual but and not a thin metal cover. Lots of Rogers have these.     Since like your 997 is too wide for the lift... I have a similar width lift and just park the narrower cars on/ under it.
