Also, those little dumpers have a special place in my heart.... spent hours and hours as a kid watching the builders do my parent's road.... mostly done with one of them. Always great watching them reverse a dolly-type wheeled cement mixer was awe inspiring as a kid.

Spoil is one of those things that just grows a surprising amount!
A few pictures might help get the scale of it... Dug out the entire grass area enough for ~6" of compacted type 1 and about 1.5-2" of gravel. So that was probably somewhere around 8" deep average...
Gutted that I'm not closer! Any excuse to sit on a digger :D . Added 60something m2 to Mom and Dad's drive last year, although not concrete, we had two grab lorry loads out of there, one full and one nearly full. Spoil adds up in volume very quickly! Have you got somewhere friendly you can tip...

Little note on your crimping for the fog light, the two little bits furthest from the business end of the crimp should be onto the insulation of the cable. So a bit less stripped back.

Came across the thread originally back in maybe May/June 2020 when I started working from home and started reading. Got my work laptop around then and ended up not using the PC much and started reading again over christmas so have only finished reading the last ~70 or so...
IMO K&N and their equivalents only have a place on a track only car. They're renowned for letting dust and **** through. By being more free flowing than certain paper filters just means theres more space for dust and dirt to follow. You've also then got it pulling in warm air which doesn't help...
Great to see you guys keeping well. Loved reading about the Route66 trip. It also made me think of The film Cars. Sadly as a society globally way too many people just up and abandon the old. Be it a car for the latest model, technology or historical stuff. Glad to see a lot has been preserved...
