How to Purchase a Scissor Lift from China

I've bought a few large pieces of equipment from Alibaba before our dollar tanked (Im in Canada, all payments are in US funds to China) Ask for all your quotes from Alibaba "CIF" which essentially means the TOTAL landed cost at your nearest port. IE the cost includes all shipping, insurance...

    receiver hitch tubing options-

Up here in Canada we can buy it in up to 24' lengths and it is listed as "receiver tube" and measures: 2.5"x2.5" with a .215" wall and no seam. It costs roughly the same as .25 wall HSS. Im sure any metal supplier in the US would be happy to sell you some.

I wouldn't worry about it Strouty, took me a year and a half to actually make it after I came up with the idea.

    Grinder Organization.

The only thing I hate more than swapping discs on grinders is the terrible mess or cords owning multiple grinders always leads to. I lived with the tangled mess under my bench for too long! Something had to be done!:pimpflash

    Cord and Hose hooks.

I recently got tired of having all my extension cords and air hose in a state of disorganized chaos. Sure a big nail would do of done but where's the fun in that?! I bit of 1/4" aluminum, some CNC programming, tig welding, and powdercoating later, I had these!

    Co-op/shared space

Stanbo: If that was directed my way, we never had a sit down meeting but we discuss issues as they arrive. Like I said though, since we all know each other we respect each others property. If we use each others consumables they get replaced as well as broken or damaged tools. We've been...

    Co-op/shared space

I have a similar thing going. My self and four friends/aquaintances rent a 60'x80' barn/shop that we have devided into 4 sections. We share larger equipment and all have our own smaller hand tools/ work areas. Its great for motivation on projects, plus there's usually always somebody around if...

3ph to single phase for Car hoist

I've decided to go with the smaller single phase motor and gear reduction for my hoist as I was able to find a good used motor for free. My next question concerns wiring. I want to hook it up with a drum switch for forward and reverse but Im drawing a blank as to how to hook it up (if its even...
