my single project (aka 10lbs of SH%# in a 5lb bag)

Well, after a long delay, and after having to tear down a whole wall of drywall (that I had just hung) to fix a leak, replace the window, a kitchen renovation, and hip replacement surgery...I finally had a chance to make progress: Window replaced, heater installed, outlet for charging car on...

my single project (aka 10lbs of SH%# in a 5lb bag)

I've been working on the cars quite vigorously, and the progress on the garage has suffered...I'm hoping to make more progress in the next few months. Up next: -air system -the rest of the drywall -more storage

you can do a high lift conversion with a jack shaft opener for under $1K I did that with my single in order to clear the lift, and there's so much room without all of the door opener **** in the way.

the think that irked me about these cabinets, is that Sears changes the price almost daily. I was able to get them at the $89 price with a 15% off black friday coupon...you just have to keep an eye on it. Otherwise I agree, $169 is a bit steep for what they are. The dimensions of the garage...

I'm going to look in to that. I'm building a trash shed on the side of the garage, and was thinking of extending it, and making it weather tight to accommodate the compressor.

Definitely, I'll be drywalling up high as well. I'm planning on doing black on the bottom, with the color break at the top of the toolbox, and going satin white all the way up. Everything I've read says that the satin will reflect light the best, and I need all the help I can get. I picked up...

Progress is slow...but reasonably steady. I was able to get the far wall insulated, and the sheetrock done. I also put etched glass window film on the side window, to keep prying eyes out. Given the New England weather, I'll probably be taking a break on joint compound/priming, since the...

4 post lift, what would you change?

The one piece of advice that I read on here, that I'm glad I took, was to make sure the lift's max rise height is over my head. I didn't consider it when initially looking, but I'm so glad I bought one with a max rise of 82". I'm able store my car at roughly 72", so when cleaning, or working...

    OJ's Single

^^ exactly. I have one at my house, and it made a huge difference. I was finally able to get all of the non-garage related stuff out.

my single project (aka 10lbs of SH%# in a 5lb bag)

Thanks guys, slow week this week...I ordered a few items, and organized what was in there, because I'll be shuffling things around as I progress...the joys of small space. I did get most of the 5/8 drywall up on the wall that is shared with the house. And the rest of the walls insulated (not...

Great use of space...I too am dealing with a smaller garage, and will definitely be using some ideas! I'm about to install my 8500, and I was wondering if you ran in to an interference issue with the cable when you installed the slide bolt? My cable runs right where the bolt should go as per...
