While I am not sure this is accurate due to the emissivity but it's something. It's not my video but it does show that it makes a nice difference no matter which way it's facing.
I went to 5 different places to find the dense foam with no luck.
In the end the 1-1/2" thick foam that I picked up had a higher R rating than the better 1" that I could find. So, I did what I could for now.
It's not my long term door so this should be okay for now.
The door is white and the ground in front of it is concrete.
I should have added that this door is a short term door. Some day I will replace it with a roll up version because I can't open it when a car is on the lift. That's why I'm not just buying a new insulated door.
