    mg325 or ir 2115ti max

Had the snap on, found it to be heavy, loud, unpleasant to use and a bit under-powered. Bought the 2115qti and it's like night and day, it's light, quiet and powerful, it does almost every job I need to do and now the 1/2" gun mostly stays in my box

    Snap on prices overseas

I'm used to the prices and was fairly happy with the range we get, until I joined Garage Journal anyway - now I realise that Snap On uk only carries about 1/4 the lines that the US has. Fortunately my dealer is fairly open minded and will order anything I want so long as I get the part number...

Do the Europeans make any high end roller cabinets?

The distributor handling Cornwell in the UK isn't importing any Cornwell boxes by the looks of their website. They're just peddling the same rebadged far eastern boxes that the UK supplier of MAC used to

Do the Europeans make any high end roller cabinets?

In the UK I'm not aware of anything on sale which is comparable with US truck brand boxes. Yes Beta make some larger boxes but shear lack of vendors and distributors means they're seldom seen. You have to understand that in the UK most techs are using a 26" stack, 41"~ boxes are common but not...

    How do organize your ratchets?

That really doesn't seem to make any sense - if your mate the super mechanic is so damn fast and godlike then surely he can find a brief moment between declining his numerous daily employment offers and diagnosing a flat tyre to wipe the dirt off his tools as he chucks them back in the box...

    Breaker Bar

My mid 80's 24" SO breaker bar finally gave up this year, it was the old type pin pivot, after 25+ years of occaisional abuse with a 3' tube with dealer happily warrantied it for a new one. My 60's era 18" SO bar is still going strong I guess if you only have weekend or home use in mind then a...

    1/4 snap on THLF72

I use my tlf72 all the time for engine work where other guys are using 3/8 stuff. My SO 1/4 drive sockets go up to 15mm and working mostly with Toyota my tlf72 has cope regularly with 14mm head M10 bolts on Toyota 1HZ starter motors and alternator mounts. I even made a 19mm 1/4 socket for one...

    My Costco's Toolboxes

One of the guys I work with has the 72" stainless box, the quality is as you would expect for the price but the biggest let down is the drawers - they only open about 15", which is awful on an already shallow box. Makes my 41" KRA look amazing

    Show off your Screwdrivers!!!!

I have a need for a set of these metric Allen/hex drivers, they don't seem to be in the current catalogue, any suggestions where to get them in the UK? I've looked on eBay US but can't seem to find them, perhaps I'm using the wrong search terms

    Bergen tools

I try to only buy snap on as a personal preference but occasionally I'll buy cheaper tools for one off jobs. I've got a few Bergen tools and haven't been overly impressed with the quality, fine for home use probably, but don't stand up to repeated professional use; I bought the large ball joint...

    Metric Talk: Most uncommon size

    I think you have those mixed up - Toyota use 10mm for m6x1 fasteners, 12mm for m8x1.25, 14mm for m10x1.25, 17mm for m12x1.25, 22mm for m14x1.5 bolts and 24mm for the nuts Working in the UK I see most metric sizes, most common everyday use ones being 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27...
