    Pole barn wall framing

    Pole barn wall framing

I ran mine horizontally inside the posts on 24" centers then ran R20 vertically behind it..worked out great..my 5" posts are on 10 ft centers,so i ripped a 2x6 lengthwise to 5" and put one in vertically halfway between each 10' span, added alot of stability,I thoroughly nailed it to the inside...

I use a 14" Makita, that thing has cut many thousands of pieces of square tubing, I've had to replace the brushes in it once..still works great..It replaced a cheap one that lasted about 6 months, that was about 14 years ago..

Speakers - In the wall or sitting on a shelf

I use a pair of Cerwin Vega's with 12" speakers I bought new back in the early 90's for the house:rolleyes: but with the older 100w/ch reciever in the shop, it'll get louder than I can stand..LOL

how the heck do you guys stay motivated???

I guess you looked around before you tackled this on your own? I priced matls to do my 30 x 50 x 12 myself, with the discounts they can get, it only cost me $300 more than MY cost of matls to have mine built..3 days and they were done..they did a great job and I didn't have to do it..

    Plastic between slab and ground

I've had three poured near Tulsa over the years and never had plastic under any of them without any problems..I had my new pole barn shop floor poured last weekend in that heat..I watered it for 3 days, so i can relate on the upcoming water bill..
