    Thanks for all the info. My local concrete guy (who is known and recommended by everyone) charges $1.25/sqft. I pay the materials, he brings the crew, the machines, does the pour, the finish, the stress-cuts, etc. Sounds like a little to the high side of average, but in the ball park!?

    I have a slab that's appx 24x36 being poured. I am choosing to get a pro to do the pour/finish work. I am gonna pay for the material. What's reasonable rate for the labor? The site is ready to go except for placing some rebar/mesh, expansion joints, etc. Thanks!

    Yes, very historic...my place is 1850's. However, not mandatad. I just wanted to. The rest of the building will have building materials representative of the era too...wide-plank flooring, wood siding, etc.

I think the problem is when we joined the block to the stone walls on each side, I shot it with a laser to match...
