Dont shoot me but I'm just not impressed with William's USA crewdrivers

I used to use Craftsman for years until I discovered this site and figured I was missing out on other tool brands. So I bought the big Williams screwdriver set that also included Bahco screwdrivers. I used them for awhile and ended up selling the Williams and keeping the Bahcos. I just could...

    Workshop wall: drywall or plywood?

Plywood. My garage is done in drywall and can't wait until the day comes where I can rip it out put up some plywood. Actually I'm going to use OSB.

    Newer Blackhawk ratchets

I have all three sizes. They are really nice with compact heads on them. I am sure they come from the same manufacturer as Tone ratchets.

    Ratchet shopping spree

So I just went on a ratchet shopping spree after purchasing a small 1/4 piece Stanley socket set at Lowes for $12 and realizing the Stanley ratchet was better than my Craftsman RP ratchet. All that i had was a set of Craftsman RP ratchets from a set from 20 years ago. The 1/4 Craftsman...

it's useful to carry a mostly complete set of tools in your car

I have what I think is a lot of tools in my vehicles just because of my tool obsession. Though I have used them a couple of times for non-vehicle repairs. I also like to have an assortment of tools for when I go camping with the camper.

    Triple Tap Extension Cords

I would get a single tap, but that's just me. I have a couple triple tap cords that come in handy. One of them I keep with my tenting gear for camping. The only disadvantage would be the bulkier end if it gets dragged around.

Pliers to make home wiring easier

I've never used a needle nose while doing electrical. Don't use a needle nose to loop the wire. Use the hole in the wire stripper instead. A linemans can be handy for pulling wire in tough spots and can also use the cutter on it although I just use a diagonal cutter. Don't use a utility knife...

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

I just picked up the 1/4 and 3/8 standard ratchets without the comfort grip. I haven't used them yet, but can tell they are really good quality. They both have small heads. I really like the small size of the 1/4, but the 3/8 handle is a little too slim for me. I compared it to my Gearwrench...

Gearwrench 84T vs Armstron Maxx 3/8 ratchet

I just checked researched the Carlyle and saw that they have some of the narrowest heads in the tear drop form. Their online price is pretty good for just the standard tear drop ratchets. I'm not into the large comfort grips. Maybe I should check them out even though I picked up the...

Gearwrench 84T vs Armstron Maxx 3/8 ratchet

That J5252F looks nice. I almost always place my hand on the head while wrenching and usually end up switching directions or releasing the socket from the quick release. For $32, I think I will order one of those.
