Same story for me, got tired of the tire shop monkey business. I looked for awhile for used stuff but it was all overpriced. Bought a new balancer/tire machine with assist arm package on ebay. Make sure what you buy will handle your tire sizes, I needed runflat and 10"+ wider rim size...
