I made that one and it worked really well with the Ridgid spindle sander and Ridgid planer like in the picture. I've since replaced the planer and haven't screwed the new one down yet. I will try to raise the bottom shelf up so the drawer is more useful and everything is more stable. Have you...

    A/C just died.

Our capacitor just went on Saturday. Ace Hardware was the only place who had them in stock. Kid at the counter told me at least a dozen people had been there the last 2 days to buy replacement capacitors. I wasn't sure it was the capacitor but figured $40 was worth the gamble. Ace Hardware...

I feel like homeowners insurance wouldn’t be too thrilled that the roads aren’t kept clear in case there’s an emergency. No idea what it’s like out there.

We do a LOT of city driving. Loads of stoplights and short distance trips. Our 2014 CX-5 only isn’t even at 100k miles. Is that the new 2026? We thought about getting that until my wife said 3 row. Don’t love the touchscreen without HVAC buttons. Besides that, looks great!

Thankfully, it's been fairly quiet here for home/auto projects since work has been super busy. My son had a temperature yesterday morning so we ended up not having my family over for Father’s Day. We’ll all be together next week on vacation and would rather not be sick. Since I had a free day...

It doesn’t compare to the Dewalt 735. Had a refurb Ridgid planer for years but the rollers kept not pulling boards through. Upgraded to the Dewalt and I’m much happier. If you don’t do a lot of wide boards or just a hobbiest it will work fine, just not as good as the Dewalt. edited to add: It...

I will have to look at what plates I have and see if you want any of them.

I managed to survive last week with most of my sanity. My daughter did a wonderful job at her school play and she killed it at her ballet recital of Peter Pan. We didn't realize she was going to be on the stage for so much of the show. My son also did an awesome job at his first swim meet. I...

I had no idea they had open houses there where you could do that. I will have to look that up for the future. I have been there a few times for different company holiday parties. Pretty cool having the place to yourself.

When I was dropping off the brake fluid, old parts and a bunch of things to recycle at our dump they were giving away some native plants and trees. The droopy looking tree on the right was getting too large for that space so I cut it down. And replaced it with this hackberry(?) bush...

That’s crazy you had and sold so much. Makes you think twice about buying things, huh? We frequently use our local Buy Nothing group on Facebook to purge things if we have someone to give old kids stuff too. I always smile when I see our neighbors outside in our kids old clothes.

As your kids get older they start playing at friend's houses or have their friends over. My wife and I will look around sometimes on the weekend and wonder what we're supposed to do while 4-6 kids are playing at our house. Maybe it's time to rethink the GTI. Cut off the rocker, weld in some...

Pretty sure I saw the Wound Care one in your thread. I'm 1/3 of the way into the Woodworker's Pocket Guide. It's interesting, but it was first published in 1949. Kind of like reading a cookbook from 1949. Ingredients have changed. I think further into the book there will be more I care to learn...
