Bump. Vertical height correction: approx. 6.5', not 8'.

I've been quoted approx. $2000 to prep a 28' x 30' x 4" deep area in advance of a pole barn installation. This includes excavation and grading of a relatively level area, as well as soil disposal. A little over $2 sq. ft. Sound right? Thanks.

Its been a while since I've posted but I'm happy to report that after starting this project back in April, (survey, zoning, research, plans, fence relocation, etc.) I finally picked up my permit this morning. Demo/site prep begins a week from today, and weather permitting, Conestoga should start...

Fixture cost isn't so bad: approx. $225 for 150w. I need three for general illumination; one over each bay in a three-car garage. I plan to use T8 fluorescents for perimeter work lighting.

I'm thinking of using either 100w or 150w fixtures by Everlast in a new 24' x 26' x 10' pole barn. Anyone have any experience with this type of fluorescent lighting?

8' x 8' insulated door in excellent, functioning condition. Installed in 2001; have Home Depot receipt. Will be demolishing existing garage to make way for new Conestoga pole barn. Hate to see a good door like this go to waste. Looking to de-install in the next two weeks. Open to reasonable...

Update: Pole barn company's engineer is discussing the situation with my township's (Teaneck, NJ) building inspector to determine exactly what I need re: sealed plans. No definitive conclusion yet... Anyone know the link that would direct me to NJ's state residential building codes? Thanks.

I've spoken w/ Shirk; they told me that they use an engineer's seal for all NJ work and have never had a problem, unless maybe the requirements are changing? I'll be pulling the permits...
