A fiberglass 28 footer is a heavy handful for one guy inside a pole barn.
I think your plan is solid. My lights in my pole barn are at 14', and I use my 24 ft FG Ladder for that work.
Even that's a chore to move around inside the shop without hitting innocent tools.
I'm more likely to leave the house without a wallet or cellphone, than leave without a knife.
I switch around between Milwaukee fast back when I'm working, to Leatherman skeletool when I'm working around the property, or a benchmade folder when I'm going places. Usually Crooked river or 940...
Heck no. Garage belongs to my wife. Got it empty last year and all she did was fill it back up with free furniture finds that we don't need. Never going back in that garage again. It's her domain.
Might spend the day tidying up the shop though.
Is there such a thing as a floor jack that is easy to roll over a gravel driveway?
I have two trucks, three trailers, and a tractor. Seems like one of em always needs a repair, and it's easier to take tools to vehicle versus moving vehicle with a flat into the shop.

May not be able to see in pictures, but it is engraved with "made in England".
Each wrench is marked with a number.

4 = 15/64"
5 = 1/4"
6 = 9/32" or .2820"
7 = 9/32" or .2865"
8 = 19/64"
There is a tiny fathead screwdriver and a 1/64" feeler gauge ad...
Friend of mine retired and is liquidating to become a full time rv'er. He decided this would look better in my shop.
Technically, it's a lawn mower sharpener, and if anybody has the missing pieces, I'd be interested.
