Compression tester failed, need orings ?

Hey, thanks for the tip, I'll see if I can find one and give it a shot. Just a flat head ? I did think about getting a small screwdriver, cutting the head off, then grinding a slot, essentially making my own mini removal tool. :)

Compression tester failed, need orings ?

Thanks guys. I picked up a cheap valve stem remover from ebay, one with 2 sizes, but the smaller size is too large for the hole :/. I couldn't find a smaller tool (still looking)... is there a specific tool/size designed for this particular job? Still have yet to get to a local hydraulic place...

Compression tester failed, need orings ?

Oh ok, I was thinking it was the release valve to depressurise the tester. So the valve seems to be in the hose itself, closest to the bit that screws into the sparkplug hole.. https://imgur.com/LZnVuI7 https://imgur.com/CawtM7U https://imgur.com/T7KzshY https://imgur.com/bzbtpjm...

Compression tester failed, need orings ?

Thanks guys, I'll see if there's any Hydraulic places nearby and head over. Looking over this thing, how is it suppose to work? I thought there would have been a one-way valve to prevent pressure backing out, so when you use it on an engine, every time it cranks, it pushes pressure into the...

Compression tester failed, need orings ?

Hi all, I have a cheap Compression tester that I picked up some time ago. Went to use it, and couldn't get anything to happen. When I was testing, the needle would wiggle a little, but couldn't hold pressure. A quick inspection, looks like a couple o-rings are dead (1 is now, broken). Question...

Used older Belt Air Compressor, after opinions.

Thanks guys :). I guess it's always a gamble buying second hand, especially on sites like ebay. I might be able to get there and take a look, see it fire up. I asked the seller about the hose connector/regulator. He said, "Yes, there is a fitting, but there are various styles, depending on...

Identifying this jack, & repairs needed...

Thanks guys :) Thanks HCR :), I read that thread some time ago, very very good write up. I actually replied to it regarding another jack I'm wanting to fix. Unfortunately, I think this jack design is a bit different than the one in the thread :/ Definitely not working as it should I tried...

Identifying this jack, & repairs needed...

Hi guys, I have this floor jack, but am not familiar with the type of Hydraulic system it uses. The issue I'm having is it only starts pumping when the pump lever is half way down. The lever and piston(?) don't seem to meet until then, so Im unsure if something is missing. Ill contact...

    Overseas Jack Rebuild Help Tutorial.

Thanks Paul. Yeh, I probably should have worded it different, though wasn't 100% sure if it uses the U-Cup style seal or whether someone knew if it was something else. Ill jump onto Google and see if there's any Hydraulic places about, see what they say :)

    Overseas Jack Rebuild Help Tutorial.

Any ideas for post #924? Unfortunately, with me being in Australia, I'm usually unable to order in parts from the U.S (pricing and expensive postage), but will try to source something locally. Only problem, I'm not exactly sure what parts I need. It looks like a u-cup type seal, though do they...
