What's available that has multi-die capability?
Looking to bend 1/8, 1/4", 3/8" and maybe one or two 1/2" stainless tubes. I'd prefer to pick up something like a rigid/swagelok style tubing bender that has replaceable dies but at ~$200-300 each I don't want to spend $1k to bend ~15 tubes.
No. This is just for an air filter. The bottle will be filled with a filter media. and I want to just pass air through it from the bottom to the top. It will be high pressure.
The problem is that the refrigerant recovery tanks are far too big. I'm planning to use a small medical oxygen tank. Long and narrow is ideal for this application. (Filter)
The plan is to use it like a filter. A stream of air will come in through the bottom and out the top or vice versa...
I got my Fluke 87-5 new for about $275 on sale. Shop around. Fluke wins hands down in my view.
That said there are quite a few other brands that are acceptable. Keysight makes some nifty ones. Stay far away from Extech. I have one and it's awful, slow, useless, and untrustworthy.

Does something like this exist? I was thinking more along the lines of air hose quick-connect fittings but you get the idea.
I'm looking to add two ports to a medical oxygen gas bottle from only one hole. One "siphon" at the bottom of the tank, and a port at the top. A 1lb propane bottle would...
You just made my day. Mine does not tilt, but I think I might be able to get my hands on one that does.
I can't seem to find much information as far as how to set it up, though. Do you happen to know of any sources with the formula to calculate it, and maybe some technical drawings? In the...
I've been playing around with different ways of attaching it this time with a pivot screw which I guess will be a shoulder screw, taking all of the comments into mind.
The problem is that I don't think this thing will work to make my part anyway since the compound already sits reasonably high...
How can I make this design work? I have absolutely no idea how to use a tapered bearing. I'm pretty sure it is the type I want, however, how can I make the upper tool holder rotate without binding while using a bolt of some sort? I'm thinking if I use a nut of some sort up top it will prevent...
So I have nearly completed my CAD model of a small model engine I want to build, and my question is in regards to creation of the holes in the crank cake, sleeve, and the head. I would use a boring bar for that, correct? If so does anyone have recommendations as to where to buy said boring bar...
I'm reading a little bit at a time, the real use of the involute is to get more CAD experience. I was reading up on relief a bit. I still have tons more research to do, and since I have little mechanical experience I don't even know what I'm missing such as the standard keyways.
I'll have to...
Updated teeth, changed keyway to specs of 3/32 Width, and 3/64 depth as per "English Standard Keyway and Key Sizes" chart. Added back rake angle of approximately 20 degrees.
I'm quite interested in any goodies ya got!
Sure thing. I'm here to learn just like everyone, and happy to share...
Thanks!
Electronics is my specialty. Particularly RF, Power, and Analog. Electrical and mechanical mesh so much, and right now I'm working on a high power flashlight and lighting design which is what brought me into practicing my CAD.
Once I manage to finish the design I'm going to build...
I'm sure others could probably explain a lot better than I, but I'll give it a shot. An involute is the profile or shape of the gear. They are quieter, produce less vibration, and less wear than a straight gear shape.
Involute: "a curve obtained from another given curve by attaching an...
