    Flooring Animal Shelter

It really does. Without this forum I would have been a complete basket case with this building. Many mistakes were made early on with the actual construction of the building and thanks to this forum we have been able to make everything work

    Flooring Animal Shelter

Our building is finally up, insulated, condensation issues cured, heated, sheetrocked, and ready for painting and flooring. Our original plan was to epoxy the floors, but I am reading that you cant apply epoxy in the winter even in a heated space. Any other suggestions for floor covering that...

    Drop Ceiling

Thanks everyone. This project has been a huge undertaking, and your knowledge helps me have a little peace of mind that I am not screwing something up royally

    Drop Ceiling

Do you have any suggestions as to best support the weight? We are trying to add as little lumber as possible. The truss manufacturer said our trusses would support the drop ceiling and insulation, but drywall is out of the question. So lightweight is a big concern for us. The insulation we...

    Drop Ceiling

We have a small corner of the building which has an office, bathroom and above ceiling storage with an attic ladder access, we can get above the ceiling grid, the vapor barrier and into the insulation and rest of the building from that route

    Drop Ceiling

The insulation would be on top of the vapor barrier, the ceiling is a foot below that

    Drop Ceiling

The ceiling tiles are Armstrong, made with mineral fiber. We are planning to reinforce the vapor barrier with either furring strips or metal strapping. We will have about 13" of insulation

    Drop Ceiling

    Drop Ceiling

We are nearing the point of being able to install the drop ceiling and insulation but I want to check with all of you and make sure we dont do anything detrimental. The plan is to attach vapor barrier along the lower chord of the trusses and then blow insulation on top of that. The ceiling...

    Heater Dog shelter

Hi all, We have finally reached a point where I need to seriously begin considering economical heating options. The building is 30x32 with 10' ceiling, insulated R19 walls and R49 ceiling, we are in zone 5. Everything I am reading is telling me we will need something in the 50k-60k BTU range...

Newbie in a Dilemma- Pole Barn

Thanks everyone, I just got off the phone with the truss manufacturer. He says there should be no issue with doing a steel siding ceiling and insulation, so I think that is the route we are going to go

I was thinking about that, I know I can do it just wasn't sure if the additional weight would help or hurt

I believe the 25#psf is snowload, I will double check and also try and find out who manufactured the trusses. TY, and we are just outside of Marysville, our building code requires 20 sf snowload
