    Few diff. quotes i got were double that plus shipping for the wide rolls i just said forget it. Never heard of bay insulation wish i did when i was looking. Seems awful cheap though.

    I hear you, it can def get messy with waste oil while the ir heaters are basically no maintenance. Yes i have drums of oil lining one side of my shop all year. If i run out of oil i just run #2 fuel oil which is just a phone call away. Pros and cons to both but ir sounds like it better suits you

    +1 for clean burn units. I have 2 cb 2500's both in pole barns. ive never had an issue with either of them, and ill admit i slack on servicing them. Both shops are bodyshops also. No oil contamination whatsoever. Tank is indoors, if outdoors you need to thin the waste oil with diesel or fuel...

    1700 sqft of vinyl faced r19 4' wide rolls were about 3 times the cost of this, although easier to install, i see no advantage. Yea its got a vapor barrier, who cares. Put 6 mil plastic up for 100 bucks and you have the same thing.

    I just did my 30x40 In upstate ny also with the brutal winters. I see no need to run 2x6 framing on the walls, its a waste of lumber. i got 24" wide rolls of r19, 39' long so i cut them in 3 13' sections and hung them from the top header and let them hit the floor. Overlapped and taped the...

    All the spray foam guys i spoke to said tyvek and send it, the foil is a waste under spray foam but theres so many opinions. I decided fiberglass tho, way cheaper! Keep pics coming looks awesome. Good feeling to see progress right

    Got some stuff done so ill toss a few pics up. Ceiling is done with 1200sqft of r38 unfaced up top, electric is done for now, inside lights installed 6 lamp t8's, lift installed and operating bendpak 10k symmetric, compressor installed wired and plumbed just waiting on my dessicant filters...

    Really nice build. Perma columns are a great idea, wish i knew about them when i did my barn!
