Wow, finding this thread was pretty serendipitous. I’ve been contemplating using the pack out system for my mechanics tools instead of rolling chest so I can keep things Mobil when I need it, and keep them fairly dry out in the garage during winter. Good info.

You're absolutely right about the depreciation. That fact is can't be argued. For me personally, I will probably end up with a US General. I just can't see spending more on box for home use. Although I still hold to the point that the ICONs are not out of range price wise for their quality...

Not in my area you can't. Now I'm personally looking for a 56" box. Anything in the ICON's range with the 20% coupon is ten years old or older. I'm not buying a ten year old box over a comparable new one just to say I own a snap-on.
