Electrical Question - House Addition - Power from garage?

Hey all! Will try and summarize as best as possible. Slightly backwards from most posts running power TO their garage from the house :) Ultimately we've done a very large house addition due to some kids we're adopting. - Our "existing" house has 200 amp service, single panel, easy. - I've...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Ok folks, Sorry for the rudimentary skitch. Just trying to illustrate the incoming path and ground. So turns out, you were all brilliant and correct and my assumptions were wrong. Neutal and Ground are bonded in the meter base, pre-manual transfer switch. My main panel's neutral and ground...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

This is why I came here. No worries at all...made me think more and be certain/understand the setup better. Helped a ton already.

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Exactly correct, I just want to use the spare lugs to run out to my shop. Again, going to validate this... but I thought I my main panel had the ground/neutral bond, but it's totally possible (and sounds like the correct way) if it's bonded at the meter base (as there's a 200 amp breaker...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Thankfully it was here when I bought the place :) I actually think in remembering my conversation with the previous owners that it was included by the Electric Coop during install...which leads me to believe even more that if they installed this, surely it's code compliant and good. The bond...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Thanks everyone. Going to have to take the cover off my main panel and make sure what I assumed (bonded there) is correct. I'm guessing I've got the 200 amp breaker on the meter base because from house entering to main panel is about 20' Let me do a little digging to verify 100% my physical...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

This switch is installed between the meter and main panel, yes. Struggling to see the code issue though?

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Yes, rated for 200A. It serves whole house. I have a disconnect pre-switch via the 200A breaker on the meter socket, so should be good there, live power/hookup wise. lol fair enough. When I first read, pre-edit, I'm like, woah, the folks who built my house 6 years ago put it in... Neutral...

100 amp run to garage off transfer switch lugs

Hey all, If this was panel to panel I'd feel 100% in the requirements and steps, but have a quick verification/2 question here for you electrical gurus. 200 amp service entrance, coming through this manual transfer switch here that's attached. 1. I'm assuming I can essentially come off...

Cutting contraction/control joints on new pour

For those following along at home, got too busy managing it all and then having to leave this week for work I didn't find much time to post. Pour went great. Crew knew what they were doing, had the PERFECT amount...ended up ordering 20 yards and doing a little apron up front. I was amazed at...

Cutting contraction/control joints on new pour

I'll see if I can dig up a link. On my 30' side, poles are 10'. The 48' section they're on 8' centers. Are 10x8 squares too small or would that look a little weird? I was going to shoot for 10x10. Marks are up all I need to do is drop a chalk line and cut away. Thanks for your input!

Cutting contraction/control joints on new pour

Wonder how you know when the "cut without ripping material" stage is without testing. Maybe I'm just over thinking this. I'm sure there's a lot of factors there...temp, moisture, etc.
