    I work at a facility that manufactures large diesel engines. We put the this stuff down in our engine test area 3 years ago. Its unbelievable, you can't damage it and it completely slip resistant it doesn't mater how much fuel, oil or coolant gets spilled you wont slip.

    I just put in a new one last March. It comes down to two things: 1. The size of your house the # of people that live in it 2.) The hardness of your water. I bought one from Sears and has been working great.

    Redneck heating, in a pinch

    I had a CO detector and it never went off when I was using the turkey fryer. If CO is such an issue how do those of you that use salamanders do it? Any time you burn something your going to produce CO.

    I never did. I just fired the fryer up an let it heat the air. The way I looked at it was that I was using a turkey fryer to heat my garage....it is what it is, as long as it produced heat I has happy.

    I've done it and it worked very well. I had a 22 x 22 attached garage and would use it to heat the garage up every once and a while. I never had an issue with CO. As I started to use the garage more I went to a 30000 BTU ventless.

    I positioned mine at an angle pointing towards the biggest door. It is about 25-30’ deep and about 5’ to the right of the door. This not only heats the area of greatest heat loss it also creates a circular airflow around that half of the garage. That’s usually my work area and it makes nice...

    Attaching a humidifier to home furnace

    I just attached a Honeywell humidifier to a Lenox with 2 zones. My hook-ups on the circuit board are 120v. I hard wired mine to the board but I read were other people wired an outlet from the board and plugged their humidifier into the outlet. Is it possible the hook-up marked HUM is the hot...
