New 2-post lift fits 9-foot ceilings. PHOTOS

CleanSC nice link for those tripod jacks and I'm sure others will appreciate as well if getting a mid-rise lift. I ended up just ordering some Sunex pedestal jacks and cut the tube down to the height desired. I have removed some fuel tanks with a service cart and a couple floor jacks. Not the...

It all depends on how tall your ceiling is as far as "we need the most lift" low ceiling people. To be honest, there are two types of lifts: 1) full size that you can walk under 2) One's you can't. That being said, with #2, as long as you can lift a vehicle and be on a roller seat and sit up...

Glad I could help. My ceiling is 4-5” over the top and I can fit some stubby wrenches in there for the lines, but I wish I had more room. Loosing all the lift height from the top trough is also a bummer. Good luck on your search.

    1) you don’t want it right against the ceiling. You actually can’t because one of the cylinder fittings sticks up slightly above the top. You can inspect most from the sides, but removing / tightening lines you need some space. 2) have to measure when I get home from outta town. 3) contact...

    Bendpak

If you are not keen on those a-symettrical front arms request rear straight ones to be sent in their place. BendPak specs were originally incorrect for drive through clearance so I could not store a trailer between the arms since they both folded backward. They shipped me rear arms for the front...

two post lift narrow shop questions

The Rotary ATO-7 looks nice. I have the BendPak GP7LC and am not impressed with it. The Rotary you will get extra drive through clearance, plus the Rotary is setup like a true A-symmetrical hoist. Not only that, the BendPak has the cylinder in the top which will be a pain to service if needed...

    BP Grand-Prix 2-post lift GROUP-BUY thread

I think BendPak tried to make this lift do a little bit of everything, which in turn, hurt it for doing the things it was created for - narrow bays and also low ceilings. A-symmetrical lifting requires a wider column to column dimension to accommodate the rearward swinging arms and still have...

You won't regret rear arms for front use, I have a set on mine. When talking with bendpak about it, the only concern they asked me was to make sure I would have enough clearance to swing in both front and rear arms in for the vehicles I will be lifting without having to get out and reposition...

Not lifting a dually. 1500 crew is the same size as a 2500, which many home users have. If you are advertising a product to lift 7,000lbs, lifting a full size truck is what you are going to be doing to hit that weight. I will have to disagree with "wrong tool for the job, aka operator error"...

I have had my dads 2500HD gasser crew cab short box truck on my 7LC. It lifts the truck, but you can tell it struggles compared to lifting a car or XUV. Granted the truck is approaching the max capacity of the lift. As far as stability goes, I would definitely suggest getting an underhoist stand...

New 2-post lift fits 9-foot ceilings. PHOTOS

Can’t really claim of low price, but quality so far has been lacking. Really had features I wanted in a lift. Problem with buying anything now a days is design is horrible and service is never a thought. Not really a maintenance oversight since it’s not something that should go bad. Hoping it...

Well the carriage assembly, as they call it, whole assembly that lifts the vehicle inside the column. That needs to come out of the column, and only way to do so is to push it out the top. Which means taking it down the column. Which means removing the top crossmember that houses the cylinder...

Update is my hoist is in properly after a tear down and re-install. Bad news. Need warranty parts as one main lift cable frayed on first unloaded lift cycle. The other bad news is the small spring in the carriage that is for the safety dog broke. So now the whole thing needs to be disassembled...

Glad it sounds like your GP hoist install has gone a lot smoother than mine. Still trying to get a hold of BendPak to send me warranty parts. I had one cable main fray on first start-up and the small safety spring inside the one carriage that was busted. Means the whole upper cross member and...
