I have read post about this before, however I'm looking for any "easy" way out. Is there a controller of some type to vary the speed of the existing AC motor. Of course it will need to be affordable. Any other tricks to slow the blade speed down?
I have had luck using a screw jack and a 2" x 4" on the back side of the rim. Place the wood on the rim and insert the jack between the rim and frame, jack away. Worked for me more than once.
One of the cheapest and best methods I use is the empty "****" wipe containers. Besides having a clean bottom you are recycling a plastic box with a lid and you can mark the box with a Sharpie. The boxes stack 4 or 5 high with ease. Just a thought.

They could be valve stem height gauges. This was a quick way to check to see if the valve stems were to long after a valve job. Simply dress the tips of the valves in the valve grinder to get the valves to the proper height. Could be, maybe! :confused:
