Gonna give it another week for paint to finish curing, then I’ll put it back together.

Rain machine Mini-8. I love it. I never have to turn my Sprinklers off and back on. And no more adjusting time. Set it and forget it. It does the rest for you. Constantly monitors the weather and adjusts accordingly.

Ya, I'm not real interested in just making it run. I'd like to restore it to "new" condition and never have to open it up again.

Went looking for parts and found a few more pumps. These new ones seem really good. I got one all torn down and couldn't find anything wrong with it. I'm still going to be replacing all bearings (bearing inserts, taper bearings & races, and needle bearings), all gaskets, crank seal, piston...

Here's the first pump I started with. Needed new cylinder, LP piston, Connecting rod, etc.

Ya that's what I've been reading. I figured I would blast the paint off the exterior of the pump parts and soak/ brush the internal parts. Heard all kinds of different things about what to soak everything in.
