I'll probably end up with the light blue the green doesn't seem to be stocked at my local hardware store. This will get quite a bit of use and I think just about any color will beat the messy yellow and white combo it was. Thanks again for the help.

Thank you for the info. I did get the screw out now to find a similar replacement for it. Looks like the year on this one is stamped 6-71 do you happen know what color that would have been? The light blue or Verde Green?

I just got my vise mostly pulled apart and I have stripped most of the paint off it. I had a broken screw holding one of the jaws that I will need to replace. Does anyone know how the end cap comes off. I don't want to ruin anything while trying to remove it. Maybe I should just leave it on...
