Curious which tools your snap-on friend recommended to splurge on? My dad was an ex snap-on truck dealer and when he cleared out inventory he kept almost nothing. Since he only did lightweight home and vehicle repairs he generally felt almost nothing was worth the 2-3x price premium haha.

Not as high end, but I always thought this socket set: Williams 50666 3/8" set looked like a really good deal. It's their cheaper line, which I think is made in Taiwan, but it's a very complete set for only $90ish. (Covers metric, sae, standard, and deep) For cheap home sets I think gear...

Hey all, I already have a Sunex deep socket set, but while working on my car those sockets often don't have a lot of clearance. I'd like to get some shallow and standard sockets, but don't really want a bunch of rail clips sitting out all over the place. Would prefer just one blow-molded case...
