I fill mine with dirty and oil soaked blue rags. Nice air tight seal.

The markings on my ratchet are: Forged In U.S.A. -V- 43788 U.S. Pats. 3172675, 3208318, 3467231, 3532013. I was gifted this tool for my 13th Christmas. The ebay kit is on the way, I hope it all works out. again, Thank you all.

Ponchoguy, It is a normal, round ratchet. I don't have much use for the lever type ratchets.

Can anyone direct me to a repair kit for my Craftsman 3/8 ratchet? The number on it is 43788. I have been useing this treasured tool for 45 years, it has never slipped but the moving parts are getting wobbly. Thank you.

I put one of the Walmart LED's in the grinder/wire wheel two months ago and it is still going strong. Much better at surviving vibration than even rough service bulbs.

I have a similar drill press vise and no drill press til recently, I made it in high school metal shop class 40 years ago.

Frank, The Asahi Lightool open end wrenches that I ordered arrived today. Very nice, I like them alot. Is there a combination set available too? (Preferably with an "on sale" price) Keep up the good work, we are very fortunate to have a source to obtain such nice items that you offer!

Evapo-Rust should work well. Another method I have used if the shaft is chromed, is rub it with aluminum foil dipped in water. The foil is harder than rust and softer than chromium. Never ever use sand paper or steel wool, they will leave scratches and it is all down hill from there.
