Fair enough, that’s a good point about shared neutrals. Other than split receptacles in kitchens I don’t think we do much shared neutrals in residential settings up here. You probably only had to upgrade the meter size because you upsized your panel right?

Not always, in Ontario as long as you don’t change wiring from the panel or add circuits, you install the new panel without code updates. You don’t need to install afcis

I hear ya about additional wiring. I don’t think you’ll have that problem at the supplier though, when I started I wouldn’t know trade names for some parts since I’m an industrial electrician. Suppliers were always happy to work with me and take my money

Not to be silly but if they are in a drop ceiling couldn’t you pull a low voltage wire for dimming? That also may or may not be to code were you are I suppose. We have ordered both (10v and line dimming) at work, I would just call an electrical supplier near you and ask what they have I tried...

I don’t know if you just want 120v drops or if you wanna run equipment but I doubt track lighting tracks will like motor loads
