Legacy HellFire 1 year review: Not what I'd hoped for...

Whew - sorry folks, it's been a minute. Trying to stay caught up on work & school + prepping for a baby & rebuilding the front suspension on a Toyota Sequoia has kept me busy! Regarding the dark grey discoloration - the two main areas that exhibit this (see response to quote below) are 'sorta'...

Legacy HellFire 1 year review: Not what I'd hoped for...

You hit the nail on the head regarding my purpose of posting this thread! Just looking for information sharing. I wouldn't think that 60 day old concrete would be overly hard to the point of the diamabrush not etching it - seemed like it had a little bit of texture to it by the time I was done.

Truly, my intent was just to have a discussion here. That picture obviously shows a lack of bond to the concrete substrate - and I do understand that the approach of "the customer is always wrong" when it comes to prep is the correct answer 9/10 times (and trust me, as an engineer that is always...

Certainly, and I don't disagree (and absolutely appreciate their offer for some material to touch up the failed spots - I do plan on taking them up on that!) What I'm trying to get at is that according to published specifications, preparation requirements, and installation instructions, I...

Legacy HellFire 1 year review: Not what I'd hoped for...

Sorry for the double-post, but I realized that I forget to mention something in my original post - there are also several areas where I'm getting some weird discolorations. Some are near the garage doors, the others are in the rear of the garage. The coating itself is still entirely intact in...

Thanks for the response! I might take you up on the repair material offer to fix the spots. I guess that's the ultimate question then - what caused the improper bond? Best I can tell I followed all installation requirements and instructions. Obviously, too late for me to go back and change...

Legacy HellFire 1 year review: Not what I'd hoped for...

The biggest gouge you see there (5th picture) came from me sliding a floor jack sideways (no weight on it, just the weight of the jack itself). No grit or debris, just the front wheel of the jack sliding sideways. Like I said, it would seem that despite all my prep work and testing before hand...

Legacy HellFire 1 year review: Not what I'd hoped for...

Hi folks! I thought I'd give my impressions after year of having Legacy Industrial's HellFire coating down in my garage. I had an 32x42 attached garage built last year, and spent a lot of time researching what sort of floor coating that I wanted to do for it. I eventually settled on Legacy...
