I ended up getting the Craftsman 5pc Evolv Pliers Set for about 30 cents. Couldn't find much else in the way of tools at Kmart.

I threw it on top of my craftsman drawers to see if I could tolerate the color differences (I couldn't). The size is exactly what I expected for a 26" top chest.

Can't say how the two compare, but it's worth noting that the Metabo will have a 3 year warranty vs only a year for the Makita.

Got my first ever tool box today! Already want something better, but for only $50, I can't complain :D. Still have to actually organize the sockets, but for now everything is at least in the drawer I want.
