Frank, thanks for the alternative and potentially least destructive way to grease the MSA bearings. I'll try that first. No wonder why this is the greatest forum!
Thanks Hoorn. The bearings feel like the grease is all dried out after about 70 years. I'll try the 2 day oil soak first and see how they sound after spinning.
FrankLee - I have a Craftsman MSA and want to replace the NORMA bearings. The bearings seem to be stuck on the shaft. Which way do you press off the bearing or is there some procedure to get them off safely?
Thanks smokeshow69, that's what I read also. I thought maybe I missed something and I even checked the classified to see if he was selling there. Oh well, I'll try to figure out a reasonable fix/replacement. It may take a while.:beer:
I recently got a Vari-Slo attachment. The curved arm link is egg-shaped like many others. I am looking for a replacement. I PM'ed oldironowner and asked about his and did not get a reply yet. Has anyone bought one of his or made their own? I need help

I had a similar problem except the local Home Depot stores in SoCal had blowers but no string trimmers. The stores I went to showed they had at least 1 string trimmer in inventory on-line. The store employee tried to help but bottom line no string trimmers. I did not want to waste anymore...
